Term Limits, Term Limits, Term Limits......
There is a reason why term limits are the hot topic again. No matter what elected position, term limits serve a purpose. It is difficult to overstate the extent to which term limits would curb the failures and inadequacies of certain offices. They are supported by large majorities of most American demographic groups; they are opposed primarily by incumbent politicians and the special interests, or those with something to lose or gain depending on circumstance.Term limits would alleviate many of America's most serious political problems by counterbalancing incumbent advantages, ensuring new ideas and reducing corruption. Perhaps most important, incumbents would acquire a sense of their own fragility and temporariness, possibly even coming to learn that it would acquire more legitimacy as a leader by doing better work and focusing on the most important tasks.
If you can't accomplish the desired affect and outcome within two terms, why should the citizens give you another four years.
