Tonight, I invite everyone to join the global broadcast of the virtual Candlelight Vigil at 8:00 P.M. EST. In years past, this somber event has been a way for LE across the country to rememeber our fallen. The feeling of being there is hard to explain as the emotions run deep. While we can't physically be there on the National Mall grounds, we will be there in spirit.
This year, 307 names are being engraved on the walls of the National Law Enforcement Memorial in Washington, DC, adding to the 21,910 already memorialized.
Together, we will watch as survivors, law enforcement members, celebrities, U.S. government officials, and American icons come together to pay tribute to our fallen in a livestreamed Candlelight Vigil. While we are disappointed that we cannot honor the fallen in person, this provides a unique opportunity for everyone around the globe to be able to participate in this solemn ceremony. Please watch from wherever you are in the world as the names of those 307 brave men and women are read aloud in respect, honor, and remembrance. If you are on a social media platform, please invite your friends and followers to participate as well. https://nleomf.org/p…/national-police-week/candlelight-vigil
